Littleton Forward provides our Connect Care Line to offer direct, personalized support. If you are an unhoused resident in Littleton seeking assistance, email connectcare@littletonforward.org with your contact information. Our local advocates, based in Littleton, are available 7 days a week from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Make sure your phone can accept private calls to receive a response.

No. Currently Littleton does not have a full-time Shelter. Littleton Forward  is collaborating with local advocates and resources to address this crucial need for the community..


The Littleton Winter Shelter is located at 18 Pleasant Street in downtown LIttleton, and is open 7 days a week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Under Chapter 26, overnight camping is prohibited on town-owned property, including parks, parking lots, and streets, without written permission from the Town Selectmen or their designee. Violators face a $10 fine for the first offense and $25 for subsequent violations​. 


Yes, exceptions are made for those who have received prior written permission from the Board of Selectmen or their designee. Permissible camping requires following “carry in-carry out” guidelines.

The Welfare Department provides short-term emergency housing for those who meet eligibility criteria.

Littleton’s Welfare Guidelines, last updated in 2013, are currently under review by Littleton Forward, the Welfare Department, and the BOS to better reflect rising costs and community needs. 


Littleton Forward advocates for updates to welfare guidelines, public sanitation infrastructure, and non-barrier affordable housing to support unhoused residents. 


Littleton’s current guidelines lack specific cold weather thresholds, which Littleton Forward is working to change. However, the Littleton Winter Shelter provides overnight relief during cold months.


Public restrooms are available during certain hours at the Littleton Public Library. The Shed has a shower and a washer and dryer. Please contact The Shed for details. Littleton Forward is advocating for dedicated, 24/7 public sanitation facilities.
