Strengthening Littleton Through Action

Littleton Forward is a community-driven initiative dedicated to empowering, uplifting, and advocating for every resident of Littleton. Based in Littleton, and a majority LGBTQ+-owned organization, is committed to equality, transparency, and justice in local governance and community affairs. Littleton Forward has a mission rooted in ensuring fairness, silencing hate, and creating a future—regardless of background, identity, or economic status—where every resident has a voice and the ability to thrive, taking a firm stand against discrimination, bias, and bigotry, whether in government, public policy, or everyday interactions.

ADVOCACY. TRANSPARENCY. DIRECT ACTION.

  • Hold public officials accountable.
  • Champion policies that benefit all residents.
  • Push for a Littleton that is inclusive, accessible, and fair.

Littleton Forward is not just an organization—it is a movement of people who believe in community over corruption, integrity over self-interest, and progress over stagnation. Together, we all are moving Littleton Forward—with resilience, strength, and purpose.

KEY INITIATIVES

Littleton Forward is driving change with three key initiatives to enhance communication, community support, and public safety. By advocating for an updated, user-friendly town website, we are ensuring residents have access to accurate information and the tools needed to engage in local governance. At the same time, we are working to overhaul Littleton’s outdated Welfare Guidelines to address rising living costs, provide better support for the unhoused, and streamline access to essential services. Additionally, we are collaborating with Fire Chief Chad Miller to update the town’s fire safety standards, aligning them with modern practices to protect residents and properties. Together, these efforts aim to build a stronger, safer, and more inclusive Littleton.

LITTLETON FORWARD INITIATIVES

The 2020 Littleton Master Plan: A Vision for Long-Term Growth

The 2020 Littleton Master Plan prepared by a third-party for the Town of Littleton, serves as a blueprint for sustainable development, addressing critical aspects of town life, such as:

  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensuring roads, water systems, and public utilities meet future demands.
  • Housing Development: Balancing the need for affordable housing with responsible land use.
  • Business and Economic Growth: Strengthening Littleton’s local economy through support for small businesses, tourism, and job creation.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Preserving natural resources while encouraging recreation and conservation efforts.
  • Community Well-Being: Enhancing public safety, access to services, and fostering a sense of community.

The plan recognizes that thoughtful investment in infrastructure, housing, and public services is key to Littleton’s long-term success.

HOW LITTLETON FORWARD ANALYZES THE MASTER PLAN

Littleton Forward reviews the progress of current town projects, proposed Warrant Articles, and community initiatives through the lens of the Master Plan’s objectives. By analyzing annual budgets, zoning amendments, capital improvement plans, and economic development programs, we identify whether Littleton is staying on course—or if adjustments are needed.

Findings to Date: Progress and Areas of Concern

  • Positive Developments: Key infrastructure improvements, such as road maintenance and sewer upgrades, show that Littleton is making progress in addressing long-term infrastructure needs. Investments in public safety, including the proposed Police Body Camera Program and capital reserve funds for vehicles and equipment, reflect a proactive approach to ensuring community safety.
  • Challenges: Certain discretionary expenditures, like downtown beautification projects and non-essential capital reserves, may divert funds from critical areas such as housing and road improvements. In addition, the cumulative long-term debt from bonded projects is a growing concern, highlighting the need for alternative funding options or reprioritization of town goals.
  • Housing: While the Master Plan highlights the need for diverse housing options, there is still room to accelerate affordable housing initiatives, especially as the town seeks to balance growth and affordability.

THE POWER OF VOTER INVOLVEMENT

Littleton’s future is shaped by the decisions we make today—and those decisions rest in the hands of voters. Whether it’s approving critical infrastructure projects, supporting local businesses, or determining the allocation of tax dollars, your voice matters. Participating in town meetings and voting on Warrant Articles ensures that public spending aligns with community priorities, not just short-term interests.

Why Your Participation Matters

  • Housing Development: Voters play a critical role in approving zoning changes and housing-related projects that determine how and where affordable and sustainable housing is built.
  • Business Development: Supporting infrastructure and business-friendly policies keeps Littleton attractive to small businesses and entrepreneurs, helping drive economic growth.
  • Public Services: Approving funding for essential services such as police, fire, and public works ensures that residents enjoy a safe and well-maintained community.
  • Long-Term Planning: Voting with the 2020 Master Plan in mind helps ensure that short-term decisions don’t derail the town’s long-term goals.

TOGETHER, WE MOVE LITTLETON FORWARD

As we prepare for the March 11, 2025 vote, Littleton Forward invites all residents to stay informed, get involved, and help shape the decisions that will impact our community for generations to come. Through thoughtful planning and active engagement, we can ensure Littleton remains a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable place to live, work, and visit.
